• Names of elements are NOT CAPITALIZED
• Symbols of chemical elements always include INITIAL CAPITAL LETTER.
• If second letter, use the LOWERCASE.
• NEVER used periods or other punctuation w/ chemical symbols.
E.g : barium – Ba calcium – Ca gadolinium – Gd
